All 5th-8th grade softball players should report to Coach Jordan's room 1616 (team 6A) at 8am for an informational meeting on Monday morning. If you cannot attend at this time stop by and see Coach Jordan to receive the information.

Winter Wonderland Week is Next week- February 22-26th.

Theme days are as follows:

Monday -  Crazy Socks and Hat Day

Tuesday - Minnesota Day ~ Dress in anything "Minnesota"...  Authors and Legends are welcome!

Wednesday - Formal Day - Dress up!  Please consider the weather!  Shoes/Sweaters!

                    Girls, please wear sweaters if you are wearing something sleeveless!

Thursday - Flannel Day - Wear your flannel shirts...flannel pants...anything flannel!

Friday - PJ and Comfy Clothes Day - It's comfortable!

In addition to our theme days this year, the Student Council has joined with the High School Student Council have been planning a Family Sledding Night at the High School Hill on Tuesday, February 23rd. THIS EVENT IS PENDING!  We need more snow for this to be a successful event and it's not looking good.  More information next week!

Also, on Friday, February 26th, we have planned our 3rd annual Family Night at Ski Gull!  As of now...this EVENT is still ON!

Ski Gull is offering the same discounted prices that they have done in years past.

All prices are per person.


  • $10 Lift Tickets

  • $10 Ski Rental

  • $20 Board Rental

  • $8 Tubing (4-6pm and 6-8 pm)

  • Ski Gull will have a meal special for $3, but the full grill will also be open.

  • Families are welcome to bring their own food.

  • We will distribute a wristband to students who want to go, for FMS identification purposes. The whole family will not need a wrist band.  Ski Gull will honor the prices for all family members of our FMS students.

My hope is that we run ahead of schedule, so times may vary a bit. If you are the adviser of one of these clubs, please encourage your members to be on time, or they may not be photographed.

Warrior Day of Service sign ups are happening now! You have until March 25 to sign up for this great community service opportunity for students in grades 6-12 on the early release day on April 6. The sign up form can be found on your school's website and Facebook page.

Magician & Illusionist  - Grades 5 and up

Enhance your skills and knowledge, develop dexterity, presentation skills and greater confidence in your magic abilities. Class fee includes a deck of cards and two magic tricks to take home. Class is held at Washington Educational Services Building, on Tuesday, March 8, 9-11 am, Cost $10.

Babysitter’s Prep, Safety Skills and First Aid Basics - Entering Grade 5 & Up

Learn how to prevent injuries, healthy habits, leadership, basic care, safety, first aid, youth development and fun projects you can do that will be age-appropriate for your clients. You will make your own first aid kit to take on your babysitting jobs. Bring a lunch, snack and beverage each day. Limited space so sign up early!  Class is held at Washington Educational Services Building, room #200 on Mar 8 & 9, Tues & Wed, 8 am - 2 pm, Cost is $45.

Dodgeball Grades 5-8

Teams will be set, instruction and rules will be reviewed and PLAY begins. Teams will play each other in a round robin format throughout the afternoon as time allows. Good sportsmanship will be enforced. All Dodgeball participants will receive a t-shirt. Tennis shoes a must!  No supervision is available after 5 pm. Meets at FMS Gym, 8 sessions, March 14-24/Monday thru Thursday, dismissal to 5 pm. Cost is $40.

Tennis - Girls & Boys Grade 5

Learn basic skills such as racket handling, racket/ball control, stroke development, games and FUN! Rackets and tennis balls will be provided. Held at FMS gymnasium, 9 sessions, Mar 14-24, 3-4:30 pm. Class will meet Monday through Friday the first week and Monday through Thursday the secondweek. Cost is $35.

Acting up! Grades 5-8

Program includes numerous theatre and improvisation games, in depth study of an actual script, scenes from that script, monologues as well as individual writing which will be used in a final presentation for family and friends at 4 pm on April 14 in the Forestview Cafetorium. Meets Mar 22-April 14, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8 sessions, dismissal to 4:30 pm, Cost is $65
