BAND: Attention 6th grade band students: Any Flutes and Clarinets who did not attend lessons this summer will have their first band lesson today during all of 7th hour and will stay until 4 pm so please be sure to let your parents or coaches know. On Friday all trumpets and trombones who did not attend lessons this summer will meet during 7th hour and stay until 4 pm. All other 6th grade band students who already started your instrument this summer will begin band lessons next week. A schedule is posted in your team commons area.

CHOIR: There is no sixth grade choir this week. Every student in sixth grade choir must stop by the choir room once during Power Hour on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. If you are interested in joining 6th grade choir, talk with Miss Oehler in the choir room this week for more information.


6th GRADE ORCHESTRA: If you are planning to be in Orchestra this year, see Ms. Zander in the Orchestra room during 7th hour before the end of the week.  You'll get your weekly schedule for the year and ask any final questions before class starts next week.


HOMECOMING: Hey Forestview kids and staff:  Brainerd Homecoming is coming soon! Don't be caught without your FMS Spirit Wear! Forestview T-shirts, Sweatshirts and Hat orders are due by next Wednesday, Sept. 10th! If you didn't get a flyer at Open House or from your teacher, you can pick up one in the main office. Sample sizes are also available in the office if you need to try on something to get the right fit! Remember - orders are due next Wednesday!!


STUDENT COUNCIL: Attention Students interested in Student Council this year: You will need to pick up an application form in the office or in Ms. Kennedy's room (2602), complete the form and return it to Ms. Kennedy no later than Wednesday, September 10th. Students who were in student council last year only need to complete the personal information on the front of the form with parent signatures. You do not need to write another essay. New applicants should complete the form and the short essay. We look forward to another great year with our Forestview Student Leaders!


7th & 8th GRADE STUDENT AMBASSADORS: Mrs. Hensel will be meeting with you soon. You will receive a pass to see her.  We will be taking your group picture for the yearbook next week.  Please listen for the date and time.


FMS SPORTS:

REMINDER: all 7th & 8th grade student athletes MUST have a sports physical on file at the Community Education office prior to the start of practice. Athletes registered who do not have one on file at the Community Ed office will not be able to participate. Sports physicals are good for three years.


Most activities begin next week, the first week of school.


Student Activity Passes to get into BHS Varsity activities can be purchased for $10 in the Community Education office. When school is in session student passes can only be purchased before school or after school. Please bring correct change or a check made payable to ISD #181.
