GIVING TREE: Look for the Giving Tree near the main office. The Builders Club is sponsoring our local woman's shelter with gifts this Christmas. You can help by purchasing a child or mom gift between $5 and $15. All directions are found near the tree. The drive ends December 16th. Thanks in advance from the Builders Club.
MUSIC: It's a big week for the Forestview Music Department! The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choirs have their concerts tonight - 6th grade at 6:00 and 7th and 8th grades at 7:15. Then, on Thursday, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade orchestras have their concerts - 6th grade at 6:15 and 7th and 8th grades at 7:30. Come support your friends and enjoy some great music too!
6th GRADE BAND: 6B/6D Band will meet as usual. We will then go to the Choir concert together at 2:30. 6A/6C Band will not meet.
6th GRADE CHOIR: Please leave your 6th hour class at 1:45 PM to rehearse with the high school A Cappella Choir in the Cafetorium. We have a concert for all sixth graders at 2:30 PM today, and a concert for families and friends at 6:00 PM tonight at Forestview.
7th & 8th GRADE CHOIRS: We have a concert tonight at 7:15 PM! Meet here at Forestview at 6:45 PM.
6th GRADE ORCHESTRA: Any Orchestra members from any team can come at the beginning of 7th hour today. We will practice until it is time to go to the Choir concert at 2:30.
STUDENT COUNCIL: The Student Council will be selling candy canes for H.A.R.T. (Heartland Animal Rescue Team) this Friday, December 13, for $0.50 each. They will be set up at 3 locations by the entrances Friday morning at 7:30 and will sell until 8:15. If you would like to donate a cat or dog toy, they will be accepting those items as well. Support HART and buy a candy cane this Friday!
CURLING: Curling Rocks! Middle School Curling for grades 5-8: Join your friends to learn the sport of curling - how to deliver a stone and sweep the ice. Equipment is provided, no experience necessary. Classes will be held on Mondays from January 6th-February 24th from 3-5:00 pm. Sign up through the Community Education Department or via the district website (www.isd181.org).
