STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS: If you have not turned in your permission form to Ms. Kennedy or Ms. Ebinger and you are still planning to be in the group, you must return it no later than Friday, October 10. The Student Council leadership conference for this Friday has been cancelled. Student Council will have a meeting next Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 3:10-4:30. The location for the meeting will be announced next week.


HEARTLAND SYMPHONY: Have you ever wanted to hear a live orchestra?  This weekend the Heartland Symphony is playing a concert full of Russian music near you!  They are playing Sunday at 2:30 at Tornstrom Auditorium.  Remember, students always get in FREE and 5th graders, your families will get in free if you have your RED ticket!


COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE MONTH: Thank you to all the students and faculty that answered the College Knowledge Month question in front of the Media Center! The answer yesterday morning was: False, you do NOT need a B average to go to college. Our drawing winners yesterday are Rachel Moore from 5th grade, Solveig Olson from 6C, Katie Fetters from 7A and Alexis V from 8C. Winners please come down to the Main office Thursday morning to collect your prize. Get another chance to win with a new question tomorrow morning for College Knowledge Month! And remember, it's never tOo late to start planning!


COMMUNITY ED:

FALL ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL: 150+ artists/crafters with quality handcrafted items. Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm at the Brainerd Senior High School (702 S. 5th Street). Use the north or south entrance. Free Admission. Refreshments available. This event is sponsored by Brainerd Public Schools Community Education, a non-profit organization. FMS SPORTS:

5th and 6th GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL: On October 9th, 5th grade girls interesting in playing basketball will meet in Mrs. Sannes's classroom, 2502.  6th girls basketball players will meet in Mrs.Zauhar's classroom, 1617.  Meetings will begin at 8 a.m.

  • 7th VB @ Bemidji, 4:30

  • 8th VB home, Bemdiji, 4:30
